Berkshire garden club. In 1934 the Lenox Garden Club helped to found the Berkshire Garden Center, later renamed the Berkshire Botanical Garden. The Lenox Garden Club was founded in 1911, antedating the Garden Club of America by two years. Whilst horticulture is our main interest we aim to provide a friendly and social club which welcomes new members. We hold three shows each year at the Victory Room in Bucklebury village. Our members are dedicated and committed to learning, exchanging ideas, sharing knowledge of plants and their extensive gardening experiences. We have one Master Gardener designated area, the demonstration gardens housed in Springside Park. We are a very active group meeting regularly at the Sandhurst Community Centre. This organization has been in operation for 40 years, which makes it older than other nonprofits in the state.
