Unity rendertexture depth. I’m beginning to think Nov 6, 2023 · But there’s another problem. Depth format is used to render high precision "depth" value into a render texture. Create a new Render Graph Compute Buffer resource using the descriptor from another Compute Buffer. I have so far tried to convert RenderTexture to Texture2D and loop over pixels that way, but as far as I know you can only get rgba pixel values, not depth. This Compute Buffer will only be available for the current pass and will be assumed to be both written and read so users don't need to add explicit read/write declarations. But it wouldn’t be difficult at all if only I could set the viewport rect of an overlay camera, rather than it always rendering fullscreen.
